BEX Payments: installation & settings
BEX Payments is a fully integrated payment provider that lets you receive online and in-person payments. BEX Payments has been developed by Booking Experts in collaboration with Mollie. Security, stability and reliability are guaranteed, and all card data is stored encrypted according to the international security standard PCI-DSS.
How to install the app?
Once logged into your Booking Experts PMS, go to the App Store in the light green menu bar. To do this, click on the market stall icon. Type 'BEX Payments' in the search bar and click on the appropriate result. You are now on the app's detail page. Click the green '+Install' button to install the app.
In the next screen, you can see exactly what information is read and sent by BEX Payments. At the bottom of this page, you will link your administrations. Check the 'Access' box for each administration for which you want to apply BEX Payments. Then click ‘Install’ to authorize the app and complete the installation.
Complete the settings
Click the button 'Mollie Connect authorizations' and connect your existing Mollie account.
Make sure your Mollie account has admin or developer rights, so you can give BEX Payments access to one or more Mollie organizations.
In your BEX PMS overview of payment methods, all payment methods available through BEX Payments will now be listed.
BEX Payments supports payment methods from all over the world, including Credit cards, iDeal, PayPal, Pay by Bank, Klarna, and more. These payment methods are configurable by debtor type. This means you can edit each payment method to be valid for reservations, owners, channels, or any combination of these.
Klarna as a payment method
Klarna is a pay-later provider. This means that you will receive your money from Klarna, before Klarna reclaims it from your guests. As a safeguard, Klarna requires the guest to enter certain information when booking. This information is the booker’s first name, last name, company name (if applicable), address with postal code and city, and email address. If this information is not complete, Klarna will not work as a payment method.
Additional step when switching from Mollie to BEX Payments:
In your PMS, go to Payment methods (in the 'Financial' tab, submenu 'Settings'). Here, you open the payment method 'Mollie (app)', and under 'debtors' you need to disable all options. You need to do this because the function of this payment method has been replaced by the BEX Payments app you just installed.
Don't delete the old 'Mollie' payment method entirely. This would cause issues with the accounting for past transactions that used this method.
Integration with the Search & Book in BEX CMS
BEX Payments is integrated with the booking process on your website. This way, online booking becomes even easier for your guests, and you'll notice that in your conversion rates. Your guests select their desired payment method, and are redirected to the corresponding payment page. With just a few clicks, the payment is completed.
In-person payments at reception
BEX Payments also supports in-person payments. You can order a PIN terminal via your Mollie account. As soon as the PIN terminal is connected to your register, a corresponding payment method is automatically created in your PMS. Link the payment method to one or more cash registers, and start receiving payments at the reception desk.

Transaction fees & payouts
The transaction fees are invoiced by Booking Experts. These fees are deducted from the payout, so you don't need to act on this yourself. Mollie takes care of the payout that is carried out daily, weekly or monthly. That is also why you will see 'Mollie' on the bank statement, instead of 'BEX Payments'.
