Booking on the map
If you have a map of your park as a high-quality image, you can mark your objects on it and use it on your website to let guests select where they want to stay. This map will be shown during the booking process. If desired, you can attach a preference cost to this selection of an object.
The map submenu is shown in the Setup module. If it is not there, send an e-mail to support@bookingexperts.com and ask us to activate it for you.
Uploading a map image
Go to 'Map' in the setup module.
Upload the map of your park. Don’t worry if your image is not shown immediately, it may take a little time if your image is large.
The accepted filetypes for this map image are .png, .jpg, and .jpeg. A high-quality image makes it easier to mark your objects and will also show up better on your website.
Placing objects on the map
After uploading the map, you’ll see a summary menu next to it that shows you how many objects in your administration have already been marked, and which have not. The map itself can be zoomed in and moved around by clicking and dragging.
Click on the location marker icon in the top left corner of the map view.
Move the square marker to a spot on the map where you want to mark an object, and click to drop the marker.
Select the object that needs to be connected to this spot from the dropdown that appears.
Repeat these steps until you are done.
Undoing or moving markers
Click a placed marker to select a different object from the dropdown.
Click on the trashcan icon and then a placed marker to remove that marker. Click 'save' next to the trashcan icon to confirm your change.
Click on the edit icon above the trash icon to select and drag a previously saved marker to a different spot. Click 'save' next to the edit icon to confirm your change.
Activating the map
Set the toggle to 'Active' after you are done placing object markers. This will allow guests to start using the map on your website and in the booking process.
Note that clusters should not be marked on the map, because these consist of multiple objects.
Set up a preference cost if you want to charge a fee for selecting a specific object.

Additional administration setting
In the administration settings, on the Bookings tab, you can ensure that guests can only use the map feature when there are a minimum number of objects actually available to choose from. This minimum number of available objects per type is set to 2 by default.
If you have types that contain just one object, the map feature can only be used for these types if the minimum number is set to 1.
