Types of receipts

There are three types of receipts in the POS module.

Go to the receipts submenu with its three tabs for the three different kinds of receipts. In each tab, you can filter the receipts by period, user, register and payment method as well as export them. You can also click on each individual receipt to view it and its journal entries as well as to refund it: Viewing and crediting receipts

Sales receipts

When you sell a product via your POS, a sales receipt is created and the revenue is booked to your POS.

Payment receipts

When an invoice is paid via the POS payment method, a payment receipt is created. In this case, the revenue is tied to the invoice instead of to the POS. That is why the amount displayed here is €0.00. When you click on the payment receipt, you can see the linked payment and its actual paid amount as well as for which reservation or reservation invoice the payment was.

The payment receipt therefore functions like a proof of payment for that invoice whereas the invoice itself is the ‘receipt’.

Register count receipts

Register count receipts are created when you count and close a register to show the possible difference between the money you counted and the money registered in the POS. You can then take cash out of the POS and put it into a safe.
