Different sections and their use
Creating a page layout is done by adding different sections, and adding content to those sections. There are various specialized sections available.
Each page already contains a header and a footer section by default, so you don't need to add these yourself. To add a section, click '+ Section'. There are nine different sections to choose from.
Columns
This is a base section, allowing you to define a number of columns and their spacing. You can set a background transitions and colors as well. Once you have created this section, you can fill the columns with text, images, or widgets.
Slideshow
A slideshow section is a page-wide header photo. By default, the photo set for the homepage is shown. You can edit which photos are shown in the Images tab of the page you are creating.
Video
This section is similar to the slideshow section, except a video will be shown instead of photos. When setting up a video section, you select which video you want to show.
Availability Search
For an availability search, you have two options.
First, there is the newer availability search section. This section will contain a Search & Book bar with fields for type, arrival and departure, and guest group. Below that, all filters will be shown, as well as a list of search results. By default, the search results will show your highlighted types. Any search query is handled in the section itself.
Second, there is the basic availability search bar. This section is a lot smaller. Guests can enter arrival and departure dates and guest group, and click a 'Search' button. This will redirect them to the dedicated Search & Book page.
Sales search bar
A sales search bar is styled in a similar way to the basic availability search bar. Except, this bar searches for objects for sale. Website visitors can choose a category and enter a price range, clicking 'Search' will redirect to the sales page.
Template
A template is a section that you have pre-defined in the 'Templates' page of your CMS, under the 'Content' menu item. Setting up templates allows you to easily apply the same section on different pages within your CMS.

Review

Highlighted subsites
With the highlighted subsites section, you can show the various subsites (parks/administrations) of your organization. This is a great functionality if your business has multiple locations.

Visibility and appearance of each section
All the sections mentioned above contain the same visibility and appearance options.
At 'Visibility', you determine when, and for which languages, this section you are adding will be shown. The default is set to publication date of 'today', publish without end date, and for all available languages.
Using the publication dates for seasonal content
Do you have seasonal content? Use the publication dates to automatically publish it and take it offline again at the appropriate time of year. This saves you having to do so manually.
At 'Appearance', you determine the section’s style and colors. There are options for the width of the section on the page, the pre-defined color scheme you want to use, and whether your background should be a photo. Optionally, you can also select a background pattern or specific transition from the surrounding sections.
