Importing reviews into PMS

Reviews in PMS are used to track guest satisfaction and can be displayed on your CMS website. When you're just getting started with BEX, importing reviews can help you continue where you left off with your previous system.

Go to 'Reviews' in the reservations module.

  • Click the 'Import' button at the bottom of the overview.

  • In step 1 of the pop-up, you can download a CSV file that provides you with a template of all the data that you can import.

  • Edit your CSV file so the data to be imported matches the template, or simply fill out the template with your data. The column headers are how BEX identifies the type of information that column contains, so do copy those.

  • When importing the finished file, you can choose to 'ignore unknown columns'. This ensures that any additional columns in your file are simply disregarded if BEX does not recognize its header. That way, BEX does not get stuck on trying to categorize unknown headers.

  • After uploading the import file, you’ll be notified of any reviews that failed to be imported correctly. A separate file containing all failed rows, including the reason for failure, can be downloaded. After editing this file to correct the reason for failure you can import it to try again.

  • After successful import, all reviews will be available in the overview.
