Applying a voucher code to a new reservation
When a guest has a valid voucher code, they can use it when booking a stay online. If they pass the code to you, or you have the appropriate rights to view the voucher code, you can also apply it for them via the back office. If the organization settings allow, it does not matter which of your administrations created the voucher.
Applying voucher when guest is booking
When booking through your website, the guest can enter their voucher code as payment after selecting a stay. This will also show whether additional payment is required, or if the voucher code still has a remaining balance left over.
If a guest contacts you to say that their voucher code is not accepted, check the following:
The voucher code is sensitive to capitalization. Ask if the capital letters are typed in correctly.
Check whether the voucher was issued by the same park that they are now trying to book, and if not, if your organization allows the use of vouchers among all administrations.
Go to the vouchers overview to find the guest’s voucher and check its validity. Has it expired?
Applying voucher after reservation is confirmed
If a guest forgets to apply their voucher code when booking, they can ask you to retroactively apply it to their reservation. For this, the guest needs to provide the voucher code to you.
Find and open the guest's reservation. Behind the 'Payment Status' heading, click the three dots and select 'Redeem voucher'. Enter the voucher code that the guest provided.
The voucher value will be added to the reservation as a payment.
If the guest already paid upon confirmation, you need to issue a refund first. This is because the voucher will only pay for an amount due.
If the value of the voucher is higher than the amount due, the voucher will remain valid for the remaining balance.
