Creating special periods

Special periods are arrival/departure date ranges that are important to your organization, and that can be applied throughout your administrations.

Read more about the uses of special periods: How are special periods used?

Go to 'Special periods' in your organization settings. Click '+New' to create a new special period. Enter a name and the relevant arrival and departure dates.

Be aware that these are arrival and departure dates of the period that you want your guests to book, not the actual dates of the event you are entering as a special period.
For example: Christmas as a special period is not just the 25th and 26th of December, but rather the dates that you want people to book as a Christmas getaway. If the 25th is a Monday, these Christmas arrival and departure dates may be 23rd of December through to the 29th.

Recurring special periods

Yearly events and holidays do not need new special periods each time.
Edit a special period and click 'Add another' to add the arrival and departure dates for the upcoming year(s).

Do not delete the historic dates unless absolutely necessary. These historic dates are used for comparison purposes in statistics.

Name in multiple languages

Click the flag icon to switch languages, and enter the name of the special period in multiple languages. This is especially important if you use special periods in the Search & Book on your website, to help guests book faster. Enter at least the languages that are also used on your website.
