Creating a Campaigns message

With Campaigns, you create and send targeted mailings and messages to specific audiences. Using layouts and content blocks, you ensure that each message is tailored to what you want to achieve.

Message overview

Go to 'Messages' in the Campaigns menu. Here you can quickly see which messages are in draft, scheduled for sending, or have already been sent.

Layouts

When you create a new message, you must choose a layout. The layout determines the visual elements around the content blocks. Click the 'Layouts' button to set up or edit your own layouts.

New layout

For a new layout, you can determine the name, style, logo position, and color scheme. You can check the preview while doing this. Try different combinations until the preview is how you want it to be, and then save your layout.
If you're not satisfied with the available options, navigate to 'Appearance' and edit the color schemes and/or logos available for your layouts there.

New message

Click 'New' to draft a new message. First, you'll be asked for the basic information: enter an internal name, choose a layout, select the languages for the message, and choose the correct audience.
Next, you'll determine the subject line and the preview text of your email. Save to go to the next step.

If you've chosen multiple languages for this message, you must enter the subject line and preview text for all languages! Click on the flag to switch the language input for these fields.

Content

In the 'Content' tab, you'll define your message using content blocks. There are different types of content blocks, which you can each set up as desired. Click the '+'-button to choose a content block.

  • In the pop-up, you'll find different categories of content blocks. There are content blocks that combine buttons, rich text, and images, dynamic blocks used to retrieve PMS or CMS content, basic blocks for a single button, header, or image, and blocks for decorative spacers.

  • Choose a block and define its content. Note that if you want to send your message in multiple languages, you must also enter all text in multiple languages.

  • Variables can be applied in the text to personalize messages.

  • An added block can be edited, duplicated, or deleted. You can also adjust the order by dragging and dropping content blocks.

Preview

Take a look at the preview to see if you're satisfied with the result. You can view both the desktop and mobile versions, and also check out the other language versions by selecting a different language.

Sending a message

Send a test email to yourself to see what your message looks like in an inbox. In order to test any personalization variables in your message, you can choose to imitate a specific contact.
Using the button 'Send or schedule', you can send your message immediately or schedule it for automatic sending at a specific date and time in the future.
