Cost item for pets
When entering the guest group for a reservation, the number of pets that will be coming along is also entered. You can charge a pet fee for these pets by setting up a pet cost item.
Settings for a pet cost item
Create a new cost item through the Costs menu.
In the general settings, set the kind of cost to 'pets'.
Set the selectability to 'mandatory', so that it is always applied when pets are present in the guest group.
Set the price calculation to 'per pet' or 'per pet per day' and enter the price amount.
The number of allowed pets is determined at the type level. This is therefore not managed within a cost item. Read more: Pets allowed/not allowed
If you have just created this pet cost item, you likely want to apply it to certain existing reservations immediately. To do this, you must recalculate the reservation order. Read more: Recalculating the reservation order
