Cost item for late checkout
Setting up a mandatory cost item for a late checkout ensures that whenever a guest books a late check-out, the associated fee is charged.
In order for a guest to be able to book a late checkout, this must be allowed in the type settings of the booked type.
Create a new mandatory cost.
Set the global cost type to 'late check-out'.
Activate the 'Late check-out costs' option that appeared below the global cost type.
Set the price calculation to 'per stay' and enter the cost of a late check-out.
Ensure that the cost applies to the appropriate types, and that the settings of those types allow for a late checkout to be booked.
A late check-out is always optional for guests, but paying for it shouldn’t be. Don’t try to create a late check-out fee as an add-on; doing this would allow guests to book a late check-out and decline paying for it.
