Content synchronization for Booking.com

In the setup process for the Booking.com integration, you'll need to choose which types of content you want to automatically push from your PMS to Booking.com. Here, you'll find more information about what each choice entails.

Default content synchronization

It is possible to not opt for content synchronization at all. That means that you will have to manage everything except for your availability and prices from your Booking.com Extranet account.
If you do want to synchronize content, the default includes:

Room type details

These are your connected type settings, including occupancy limits, number of beds and bathrooms, etc.

Facilities

The facilities that are specific to the connected types.

Contact details

Your administration’s contact and invoicing details.

Optional content synchronization

In addition to the default, you can choose to synchronize other information between your PMS settings and your Booking.com listing. If you choose not to synchronize, these same functionalities are only accessible through your Booking.com account.

Property details

This will synchronize general information about the property, and includes: check-in and check-out times, and your location data (address). Depending on the type of Booking.com property you have selected, this general information is either taken from the administration settings, or the type settings.

Photos

This will synchronize the media added to your types to the corresponding Booking.com listings.

Cancellation policies

Enabling this during setup will add a management block in your property page, where you can see, edit, and synchronize cancellation policies between your PMS and Booking.com.

Host profile

The information in your Booking.com profile can also be filled with text taken from BEX PMS. This would include your administration and surroundings description (as set in your PMS administration settings), and depending on which Booking.com property type you have chosen, also your type description.

Costs & taxes

If you chose to work with all-in prices, synchronizing costs & taxes only ensures that the mandatory cost items are shown to the guest, it doesn’t affect the total price.
If you chose to send base prices, it is recommended to synchronize costs & taxes as well. This will ensure that your mandatory costs are shown and included in the price.

If your Booking.com property is a Campsite, Hotel, or Holiday Park, make sure that your tourist tax cost applies to all of the connected PMS types.

Any costs charged per pet, or per pet per day, cannot be synchronized with Booking.com. To avoid error messages, exclude costs with these calculation bases in the channel settings. If you encounter any other issues, contact support@bookingexperts.com and we’ll help you out.
