Varying cost item prices for channels or types
In the settings of a cost item, you can determine whether the pricing should vary slightly depending on the booked type or channel of the reservation.
Because it is possible to vary prices within a cost item, you might be able to merge several cost items where these varying prices were set up separately.

Entering default prices first
The default prices you set in the cost item settings are also the default amounts entered into the table used to differentiate prices for channels or types. The default prices also allow you to add price changes starting from a specific date. Therefore, even if you do not plan to use these default prices everywhere, enter a price amount anyway.
Selecting 'no default prices'
After having entered your default prices, you can indicate that you want to differentiate your prices by answering 'no' to 'use default prices?'.
Choose whether you want to differentiate prices by type, by channel, or by type and by channel.
This gives you an editable table, based on the channels and types the cost item is applicable to (according to earlier applicability settings in the cost item). This table is pre-filled with the default prices.
Each field is separately editable.
Because of the pre-filled default prices, you can easily maintain most types/channels at the base level, while editing a different price only for the deviating types/channels.
