Administration settings for guests

In the administration settings, you can make various choices that determine how your guests enter their personal data and those of their travel companions for a reservation.

In the Administration settings, on the 'Guests' tab, you can hide certain guest groups in your booking portal. You can also adjust age limits for your different guest groups, exclude postal codes for tourist tax, and determine from whom you need extra information for your guest list.

Hidden guest types

If you hide guest types, they will not be shown as an option on your website. Consequently, bookings including that type are not possible. If you, for example, don’t allow pets in your park, you can hide the ‘pet’ guest type. The guest types seniors, teenagers, and infants can also be excluded. You cannot change the names of the guest types.

The guest types children and adults cannot be hidden, as they are the superior categories to which seniors, teenagers and infants belong. Imagine you only want to allow kids from the age of 13. Determine the age for babies at 12 and then hide the guest group ‘babies’. The system will automatically make bookings for babies/children under 13 impossible.

Setting age limits for guest types

You can set a maximum or minimum age for most guest types. For example, if tourist tax applies from a certain age, you can use this setting to ensure that the tourist tax cost item truly applies to all relevant guests. You can also use this to further specify your guest statistics.

With the checkbox 'Ask for detailed group and age details', you ask your guests to further specify their travel group. This can be useful if you often receive bookings for large groups.

Exclusion from tourist tax

Often, people who live near your park/campsite do not have to pay tourist tax if they stay with you. Here, you can enter the relevant postal codes, so that guests who provide a home address with these postal codes will not have tourist tax on their reservation.

Requesting additional data in the guest list

You have the option to request additional personal data for each guest in the guest list. In these guest list settings, you determine from whom and which information you request. For the main booker, details are already requested in the booking portal; so here you mainly determine whether you need data for the other guests in the party, and whether you request additional documents from the main booker and/or the other guests for identification.
Guestlist

If you request additional information via this guest list, also activate the template 'Guest list update request'. Then your main booker will automatically receive an email with a link to the 'Customer portal', where the requested information can be filled in.

In the booking portal settings, you already determine which information you request from the main booker when making the reservation. You can find these under organisation settings, brands and portals. Booking portal settings
