Create amenity groups

Amenity groups help you categorize amenities, and act as filter categories for amenities in your Search & Book.

Go to 'Amenities' in the organization settings of your PMS. Click '+New' to add a new amenity group.
Determine a name, and set its applicability as defined below.

Applicability of amenity groups

  • Can be applied to types, objects, or administration: the amenities in this amenity group can be linked to a single object, an entire type, or even the administration as a whole. Most amenities will be of this type.

  • Can be applied to administration only: the amenities in this amenity group cannot be linked to objects or types. This would contain amenities that are available to every guest, such as a restaurant, swimming pool, or indoor playground.

The following amenity groups are present by default, and can be edited to suit your needs.

  • Can be applied to administration only: services, environment, sports and activities.

  • Can be applied to types, objects, or administration: Bathroom, outdoor, entertainment, family/children, kitchen, location, bedroom, accessibility, security, heating and cooling, washing and drying, and wellness.

Deleting an amenity group

Amenity groups can only be deleted if they are not linked to any types or objects, nor connected to the administration as a whole in the administration settings.

The applicability setting of an amenity group cannot be edited, create a new amenity group instead.

Adding amenities to an amenity group

Create amenities to assign them to an amenity group, or edit an amenity to change the assigned amenity group.
