Administration settings for bookings

In Administration settings, on the Bookings tab, you can set the general settings for reservations. This includes the minimum number of nights, default country, check-in and check-out times, how the Planboard optimizes bookings and for how long an option is valid. You can also enable the license plate module here.

Go to the settings menu by clicking the gear icon, and go to administration settings in the list.

Minimum number of available objects before ‘Select on map’ is enabled

With this setting, you can set a minimum number of available objects before guests can choose an object via a map. This ensures that the guest has a pleasant booking experience via the map.

Default country and language

The default country and default language are indicated when you create a new reservation. If you notice that you mainly get German guests, it might be faster to set these options to Germany and German respectively, instead of adjusting this for every new booking.

Using the license plate module

Check the 'Use license plates' box to enable the license plate module. This allows you to use license plate numbers of guests to control the number of vehicles on your park, as well as automated access through an access control integration. Be sure to add a number of available parking spaces to each of your types.

If you want to ask guests for their license plates as soon as they book through your website, enable that setting in the booking portal settings. Booking portal settings

Check-in and check-out times

In this section, you can set the standard check-in and check-out times for each day of the week.

Placement strategy for new reservations

You can decide between two options of organizing and optimizing your Planboard. Either you distribute revenue evenly over your objects or you minimise gaps in the Planboard. The latter means that reservations are placed as consecutively and closely to each other as possible.

Because it was first only possible to distribute revenue evenly, this is the default. However, check whether the option to minimize gaps might be a better fit for you.

For either strategy, you can choose to let priorities that are determined per object overrule it. If you enable priorities, set them in the Statistics module under ‘Rent distribution’. By clicking on a type, you see an overview of its objects. For each object, you can define a priority.

If you work with the owner module and choose to distribute revenue evenly, you also have to determine to what extent owner reservations are considered in the revenue.

Options

An option is a booking that "reserves" a date and type, but has not yet been finalized by the guest. Set how long an option is valid if the guest is in the booking process. With "Maximum number of options per guest" you limit the number of simultaneous options per guest.
