Hoseasons: installation & settings

How to install the app?

Once logged into your Booking Experts PMS, go to the App Store in the light green menu bar. To do this, click on the market stall icon. Type 'Hoseasons' in the search bar and click on the appropriate result. You are now on the app's detail page. Click the green '+Install' button to install the app.

In the next screen, you can see exactly what information is read and sent by Hoseasons. At the bottom of this page, you will link your administrations. Check the ‘Access’ box for each administration for which you want to apply Hoseasons. Then click 'Install' to authorize the app and complete the installation.

Complete the settings

First, contact Hoseasons to discuss your account and options with them. You will need certain information from Hoseasons to be able to complete the settings in this app.
Once you are ready, connect your Hoseasons account, and link your administrations and types.

Connect your Hoseasons account

Go to the Hoseasons app page. Click the 'Settings' button in the Commands bar. Here, your need to enter the username and password of your Hoseasons account. You’ll receive this information through your contact at Hoseasons, or your BEX support person.

Linking administrations

Click the 'Linked administrations' button in the Commands bar. Then use '+Linked administration' to add each of your administrations.

  1. Set 'Synchronization active' if you want to start synchronizing as soon as you save this administration. You can always edit a linked administration to change the synchronization status.

  2. Select your administration from the dropdown.

  3. The currency should be set to GBP.

  4. If desired, you can select your optional Cot, Highchair, and Pet costs to be offered on Hoseasons for you.

  5. Activate 'Use owner booking API' if you want to send commissionable bookings to Hoseasons. Discuss this with your Hoseasons contact.

  6. Activate 'Use pricing manager API' if you want to retrieve prices from Hoseasons daily. This will fill price lists for your linked types. Discuss this with your Hoseasons contact.

When activating the pricing manager, you’ll need to enter a Site code. This code needs to be provided to you by your Hoseasons contact.
If you do not activate the Hoseasons pricing manager, your linked types will use the appropriate prices as set in BEX PMS.

Linking types

After linking your administration, open it by clicking on the name. Then click the button 'Linked types' to go to the overview of types linked to this administration. Use the '+Linked type' button to add types to this overview.

  1. Set 'Synchronization active' if you want to start synchronizing as soon as you save this type. You can always edit a linked type to change the synchronization status.

  2. Choose the desired type from the dropdown at 'Internal type ID'.

  3. The 'External type ID' is the Hoseasons LP code for this type. This LP code will be provided to you by Hoseasons.

If you have activated the owner booking API, the administration page will also contain the button 'Sync owner bookings'. Clicking this button will immediately synchronize any owner bookings between Hoseasons and BEX PMS.

Details of a linked type

Clicking on the LP code of a linked type will show you its details, as well as the buttons 'Send current availability', 'Send current pricing', and the 'Delete' and 'Edit' buttons. Depending on the choices you have made earlier in the setup process, some of these options may be unavailable.
