Getting started with bundles

A bundle is a set of extra's, or cost items, that your guests may book as an addition to their reservation.

Examples of bundles:

A 'BBQ' bundle containing the rent of a barbeque and the delivery of certain food items.
A 'Wellness' bundle containing luxury breakfast and robes at a reduced price.
A 'Free bike rental' bundle containing a bike rental cost item set to 0 euros linked to a coupon code.

Different from a package

A bundle differs from a package because a bundle is a set of cost items, while a package has a stay element (limited dates, discount on rent) and, optionally, additional cost items.

How to create a bundle

Go to 'Bundles' in the Setup module, and click 'New'.

  • Enter a name, short description, and longer description to fully explain to guests what they are getting with this bundle.

  • Requires confirmation: Enable to have the guest explicitly agree to the terms mentioned in the description.

  • Include in cancellation insurance export: Enable if this bundle is a cancellation insurance that guests can optionally buy.

  • Available as upgrade: Enable to give guests the opportunity to add this bundle through their guest portal, after confirmation of their reservation.

  • Coupons: Create a coupon code that guests need to enter to receive this bundle. Leave it empty to make the bundle generally available to guests booking through your website.

    You can link multiple codes to a single bundle by separating the codes by a space while entering them. It is not possible to use a code that is already used by a different bundle.

  • Period: The default is 'always available', but you can select a different period group if you want the bundle to only be available during a limited period of time.

  • Composition: Add the cost items that are part of this bundle, and adjust prices and quantity as desired.

    • Enable 'show costs' to show the guest which cost items are part of the bundle, otherwise the guest will only see the bundle information and total cost.

  • Type applicability: By default, the bundle will be available to book for all your types. Select specific types if the bundle should only become available when booking these types.

  • Channel applicability: By default, the bundle will be available to book through all your channels, including your website. Select specific channels if the bundle should only become available when booking through these channels.
