Varying cost item prices for channels or types
In the pricing settings of a cost item, you can determine whether price should vary slightly depending on the booked type or channel of the reservation.
Open the relevant cost item from the Costs overview. The current pricing settings and default price are displayed.
Click the 'Edit' button to enter any deviating prices for types or channels, according to the set price differentiation.
Any types and channels shown are the ones that the cost item is applicable to according to the cost item settings.
Save your changes.
Changing the default price
The default price is also the default amount entered into the table used to differentiate prices for channels or types. This means that if you only have a few deviating prices, you can use it to pre-fill the other options.
Indexing default prices over time
Click 'Add new price' to add another default price that will become active from a specific date. This can be used to index the cost item price, and correctly process future price increases for reservations booked in advance.
Changing the price differentiation
To change the differentiation level, go back to the cost and click the pricing settings icon next to the 'Edit' button. Here, select the new price differentiation to be applied.
Because it is possible to vary prices within a cost item, you might be able to merge several cost items where these varying prices were set up separately before.
