How to create a voucher
Vouchers can be issued for the value of a refund, during the cancellation process.
Go to the reservation whose refundable amount you want to issue a voucher for. Open the reservation, and start the cancellation by pressing 'Cancel' at the top of the page.
Once cancelled, a notification will show that a refund needs to be made. If no invoice has been created yet, click the 'Create an invoice' button first. After that, you can create a voucher by using the 'Issue voucher' button that is now shown.
The value of the voucher is the value of the refund, and cannot be edited. It is recommended to automatically generate a safe code. However, it is still possible to enter a code manually.
If you choose to enter a code manually, be sure that it cannot easily be guessed by people who are not the intended recipient of the voucher!
Email notification
When you choose to send an email notification, the created voucher and voucher code will be sent to the booker immediately after issuing the voucher. The template that is used for this is 'Voucher notification'. This template can be edited to suit your needs. If you choose not to send an email notification, you will have to share the voucher code with your guests in another manner.
Validity of the voucher
The expiration date of the voucher cannot be edited upon creation. The default validity period as set in your organization settings applies.
