Adding media files to types and objects

In BEX PMS, you can add photos, video's, and attachments to your types and objects so that guests can get a good impression of the kind of accommodation they are booking. The images and videos added will be shown on the corresponding webpage.

Go to the media tab in the settings of a type to add images, a YouTube video, or attachments.

  • These images, video’s, and attachments apply to all objects within the type.

  • To add images that apply to one object specifically, add the images in the object’s media settings instead. Video’s and attachments can only be added to types, not objects.

Add images

Choose a tab/button to add images to be displayed all year around or specifically during summer (1 March to 30 November) or winter (1 December to 28/29 February).

  • Seasonal images may boost bookings for summer holidays or Christmas breaks.

  • Drag and drop the images from your desktop to the media area or use 'click here' to upload them.

  • Use images with high resolutions, preferably ones made with a good camera or by a professional photographer. BEX PMS reduces the size of the images to a maximum of 2048 px by 2048 px.

  • Edit the sequence of the uploaded images by drag and drop. The images will be shown left to right.

Add a YouTube video

Add a YouTube video to a type by pasting the entire URL.

  • This video will be shown in the Search & Book in the type’s description.

  • Deleting is possible after uploading it, see the button underneath the uploaded video.

  • Adding separate videos for summer and winter is possible by clicking on the respective tab/button and adding a video there.

Add attachments

At the bottom of the page, you can add attachments like directions or house rules to a type. These attachments can be used in auto emails.

Refer to the 'Send along attachment(s) of the type' option in auto email settings.
