The HomeToGo App gives you the opportunity to link Booking Experts to HomeToGo and thus offer your accommodations internationally. In this article, we explain how you can install it for your own administration(s).
Register for HomeToGo
After you have downloaded the app, register the organization with HomeToGo via this link. Below we explain how to install the App.
Please note! If your administration(s) already have an existing Belvilla or Interhome connection, a connection with HomeToGo can only be made when these parties no longer synchronize data with HomeToGo! As an organization, you must first communicate this to Belvilla/Interhome. Only when the synchronization between Belvilla/Interhome and HomeToGo is switched off, can your administration be directly linked to HomeToGo.
The entire setup is requested daily (once a day) by HomeToGo and availability is updated every hour.
Installing the application
To install the application, you need to have access to the App Store; in this case, a market stall icon will appear at the top of your Booking Experts menu bar. If you do not yet have this, ask Support to activate the App Store for you.
Click on the icon for the App Store;
Then choose the HomeToGo App;
Click on +Install next to the application;
Here you will see an overview of what the application can view in your administration(s);
Choose the administration(s) for which this application should be installed and click Install.
The app is authorized. Click OK to continue.
Linking administration(s)
A HomeToGo advertiser contains one or more linked Booking Experts administrations. Each advertiser is linked to a language and currency.
Under Commands, choose Manage Advertisers;
Click on + Add;
Choose whether the advertiser should be active or inactive;
If desired, adjust the HomeToGo advertiser ID;
Please note! Only adjust the 0 if you want all administrations of your organization to get a separate advertisement on HomeToGo.
Choose the desired Language and Currency; (You also need to set this in HomeToGo);
Add the advertiser;
Click on the number next to linked administrations;
Click on + Add;
Enter the data;
Add the administration.
Cancellation Policy
The percentage applies to the amount the traveler has paid at the time of cancellation, and not the total amount of the reservation. It is therefore your task to adjust your deposit policy for the HomeToGo channel accordingly.
No refund: No refund is offered upon cancellation.
Strict: For bookings cancelled up to 60 days before the start of the stay, the traveler receives a 100% refund. For bookings cancelled up to 30 days before the start of the stay, the traveler receives a 50% refund.
Moderate: For bookings cancelled up to 30 days before the start of the stay, the traveler receives a 100% refund. For bookings cancelled up to 14 days before the start of the stay, the traveler receives a 50% refund.
Flexible: For bookings cancelled up to 14 days before the start of the stay, the traveler receives a 100% refund. For bookings cancelled up to 7 days before the start of the stay, the traveler receives a 50% refund.
Linking types to an administration
Active linked Booking Experts types are offered as listings to HomeToGo.
Go to the linked administration for which you want to set up a type link;
Click on the number next to linked types;
Click on + Add;
Enter the data;
Add the linked type.
Pushing information
It is possible to manually push the current price and availability information if you want to process changes for a specific type directly.
Please note! All rent and costs marked as rent are passed to HomeToGo as the rental price.
Go to the linked type;
Click on the name of the type;
Then click on the button of the desired action.
Minimum content requirements
Within Booking Experts, we have the option to check the various content requirements. You can find these checkpoints in the following places:
For the type:

You then need to choose for which language and currency you want to perform the check. Based on this choice, you will receive feedback from the app. Before an 'active' type is shown on HomeToGo, it must meet the following requirements:
Address details must be complete and accurate, including postal code and geolocation. If it concerns a caravan or bungalow or similar, the park's address may also be used, otherwise not;
A description of at least (excluding HTML tags) 400 characters;
Short description of at least 20 characters. The short description is used as a 'headline' on the HomeToGo site, instead of the type name;
Minimum 10 sharp photos of at least HD format (1920x1080). Watermarks are not allowed;
All relevant translations must be available in the language of the master brand anyway. Please note! Some of these restrictions are checked when creating a type link, but it is not checked that the type continues to comply with these.
At least 1 (active) payment provider must be set up that can handle payments in the currency of the chosen master brand. This payment provider must not only support credit cards;
Only complex prices are supported.

Restrictions
The HomeToGo app has multiple restrictions, meaning you will need to adjust some parts within your administration before a link can be made. Below is an overview of these restrictions:
Discounts
Discount with guest group limits are not supported, and therefore should not be set up for a HomeToGo channel. Discount promotions with guest group limits that are nevertheless set up will be ignored; Only discount promotions for complex prices can apply to the HomeToGo channel.
Coupons and packages
Coupons are not supported, just like packages.
Cost items
The cost items in Booking Experts are synchronized with HomeToGo. HomeToGo then calculates the resulting price itself. HomeToGo applies some restrictions to the cost items to make an accurate price calculation. Below is a summary of settings in cost items that HomeToGo does not support.
Solution: Do you have a cost item that is not supported by HomeToGo? Then you can exclude the HomeToGo channel from the cost item. You do this by editing the cost item and going to the applicability tab. There you set that the cost item applies to specific channels and then uncheck the HomeToGo channel. Save the changes.
Do you still want to charge extra costs? Then create a new cost item for only the HomeToGo channel. This new cost item should match the original cost item as closely as possible in terms of price, but in a way that HomeToGo does support.
For example: for a cost item that is normally included in the all-in price, create a cost item for only the HomeToGo channel where this is not included in the all-in price.
Below is the list of restrictions for cost items that apply to a HomeToGo channel:
HomeToGo has 2 age groups: children are all ages up to 8 years, and anyone 8 years or older is an adult. So if you set up a cost item for adults, HomeToGo will also apply it to a 9-year-old child;
HomeToGo only asks about the presence of pets and not the number of pets, therefore cost items of the type 'Per pet' or 'Per pet per night' are always applied if pets are present.
All cost items must be included in the all-in price;
Cost items related to cleaning must have the type 'Cleaning costs';
Cost items related to security deposits must have the type 'Deposit' and must be calculated per stay or per unit, or be percentage-based;
Cost items related to tourist tax must have the type 'Tourist tax'. This is important because the HomeToGo 'traveller service fee' and commission are calculated on the total amount minus deposit and tax (incl. VAT);
Cost items with a negative amount are not supported when they are mandatory. These can be excluded in the link;
Cost items cannot have a 'price per period' and must have 1 price, for example: it is not possible to increase the price of bed linen from €10 to €11 from 01-01-2022;
For the rest, the type should be as accurate as possible. For example, a cost item related to an early check-in option should not have the type 'Cleaning costs', but the type 'Early check-in'. Preferably, 'Other' should be chosen as little as possible.
Types
Description and short description must be filled in and meet the minimum content requirements;
All accommodations are directly bookable;
The rent must always be invoiced;
If specified, the number of bedrooms must be greater than 0. HomeToGo requires every offered accommodation to have at least 1 bedroom. If the number of bedrooms is not specified, a number of 1 is passed to HomeToGo;
If the number of bathrooms is not specified, a number of 0 is passed to HomeToGo;
The synchronized check-in time for a type is the maximum of all check-in times of the entire week;
The synchronized check-out time for a type is the minimum of all check-out times of the entire week;
Only characteristics with linked channel characteristics are synchronized. Characteristics are synchronized at type level. Characteristics on accommodations are therefore ignored;
Restrictions regarding pets are also synchronized at type level. However, if one of the underlying accommodations does not allow pets, then the entire type will be excluded for pets.
If the address differs from the park, a postal code must also be entered.
Change in reservation
If you change a reservation that came via HomeToGo, for example a different departure date, accommodation or channel? Then an update is automatically sent to HomeToGo. They are therefore aware of the change.
Deleting data
It is not possible to delete an advertiser if administrations are linked to it. In addition, it is not possible to delete an administration if types are linked to it. It is also not possible to delete type links if reservations have been made on them via the HomeToGo channel.
