Statec M2M: installation & settings

Statec M2M is a compliance app for administrations located in Luxembourg. It automates the sharing of certain data with the Luxembourg government, ensuring that you are always compliant with regulations.

How to install the app?

Once logged into your Booking Experts PMS, go to the App Store in the light green menu bar. To do this, click on the market stall icon. Type 'Statec'  in the search bar and click on the appropriate result. You are now on the app's detail page. Click the green '+Install' button to install the app.

In the next screen, you can see exactly what information is read and sent by Statec M2M. At the bottom of this page, you will link your administrations. Check the 'Access' box for each administration for which you want to apply Statec M2M. Then click 'Install' to authorize the app and complete the installation.

Complete the settings

You’ll need to check and complete settings in both the app itself and in your PMS.

App settings

Return to the app's detail page, and click on the 'Settings' button in the command bar. Here, you have to enter a Client ID, Client Secret, and an establishment number for each of your administrations. You receive this data from the Luxembourg authorities. PMS settings

The data that is required to be shared with the Luxembourg government is guest data for every guest age 15 and older. In your PMS, you’ll find this data in the guest list of a reservation. To ensure that you send accurate data, you probably need to adjust some settings in your PMS.

The app sends the reservation data upon check-in. This means that before check-in, you can still manually edit the guest list by clicking the person icon in the reservation.

Go to your administration settings, into the 'Guests' tab. In the 'Guest list' section, you can choose who needs to fill out the guest list. Because compliance requires you to send info for everyone aged 15 or older, it is recommended to select 'All guests'. Then, tick the required items to be included in this guest list.

Date of birth
Nationality
Street + number
Postal code
Country
Signature

Note that while selecting 'All guests' will require guests to enter data for children younger than 15 as well, this information will not be sent by Statec M2M. Only guest list data of guests older than 15 will be sent, regardless of whether data of younger guests is present.

Checking for errors

Once the Statec M2M integration is in use, you can check whether data is being sent correctly by clicking on the 'Apps' dropdown in the green menubar and selecting 'Statec M2M: Reservations'.
This will show you a list where you can easily see for which reservations the forms failed to send. To rectify a 'Failure' status, read the error message and edit the guest list of the associated booking accordingly. You can click on the Booking ID to open the reservation. Use the button 'Send Failed Forms' in the top right to re-send after you have fixed the error.
