With our Booking.com integration you can access one of the world’s largest travel marketplaces to offer your accommodations internationally.
In our App Store you can read more about what Booking.com can offer you.
How to install the app?
Once logged into your Booking Experts PMS, go to the App Store in the light green menu bar. To do this, click on the market stall icon. Type 'Booking.com' in the search bar and click on the appropriate result. You are now on the app's detail page. Click the green '+Install' button to install the app.
In the next screen, you can see what information is read and sent by Booking.com. At the bottom of this page, you will link your administrations. Check the 'Access' box for each administration for which you want to apply Booking.com. Then click 'Install' to authorize the app.
Accommodation agreement authorization
Next, you will be asked whether you already have an accommodation agreement with Booking.com. If the answer is yes, enter your Legal Entity ID, which can be found in your Booking.com account, and the associated contact email. If the answer is no, enter your contact information to request one. Click 'Save' and go back to the app.
An accommodation agreement is the agreement between your organization and Booking.com. If you did not already have one, set it up before taking the next steps. Booking.com will have sent an email to the email address you entered, don’t forget to check your spam folder. Read more about Booking.com’s accommodation agreement and primary account.
Complete the settings
In the Booking.com page in your PMS App Store, click the button 'Booking.com properties' to start completing your settings.
Connect with Booking.com
First, connect with Booking.com using the corresponding button. Use the login credentials of your Booking.com account, or create a partner account if you do not have one yet. If you create an account here, be sure to use the same email address you entered to request an accommodation agreement during installation of the app.
Add administration settings
Booking.com uses specific terminology that does not match BEX terminology. Booking.com is structured to rent rooms or units within properties, while we use that same structure to rent out types within an administration. As such, a 'Property ID' or 'property' corresponds with your administration, and 'Room ID' corresponds with your types.
Click the second button, '+ Booking.com properties', to set up the connection with your administration. You to enter your Property ID or create a new one, and connect your administration.
If you are creating a new Hotel ID, you’ll have to specify what kind of Booking.com property you are. The choice you make here, has an effect on the number of types you can add.
Hotel - multiple types possible, each with multiple objects
Apartment - 1 type, 1 object
Holiday park - multiple types possible, each with multiple objects
Villa - 1 type, 1 object
Holiday home - 1 type, 1 object
Camping - multiple types possible, each with multiple objects
Chalet - 1 type, 1 object
Pricing
To make an informed choice between Booking.com Collect and Booking Experts Collect, read this article: The difference between Booking Experts Collect and Advertiser Collect
You can choose to advertise with the basic rent prices as set in your PMS. This means you have to manage your (mandatory) extras/costs separately, either from your Booking.com account or through content synchronization of costs & taxes.
If you use all-in prices, these are based on your basic rent plus mandatory costs as set in your PMS. Content synchronization of costs & taxes does not affect all-in prices, except that the mandatory cost names are listed as 'included in all-in price'.
Content synchronisation
Determine which information is automatically and regularly synchronized between your PMS administration and your Booking.com listings. The default is to send room details, facilities, and contacts. Optionally, you can choose to synchronize photos, property details, cancellation policies, and costs & taxes as well.

To conclude, check the currency you want to use and the safety margin. This safety margin is a buffer that reduces the chance of double bookings. The default setting is 1, you can leave this setting as it is. Click 'save'.
View property page
Click the Property ID to view the details for the connected property. All the way at the top, you see a button 'Property check' and an ellipsis menu. These are the actions available for this property, i.e. the connected administration.

Add your types
At the bottom of the property page, click the button '+ Connected type'. Here, you have the choice to link existing Booking.com room IDs, or create new ones.
Linking existing room IDs
All room IDs currently created in your Booking.com account will be shown. You need to link each of these to the corresponding type as present in your BEX PMS.
Create new room IDs
Use the quick select and checkboxes to indicate the types for which a new room ID needs to be created.
There are several actions you can take via the ellipsis menu behind each room ID.

Add a rate plan
First, you need to create rate plans in your Booking.com account. These are accessible via the button '+rate plan' in the Hotel ID page in this integration app.
If you created new room IDs in the previous step, the default rate plan is linked to your types. If you linked existing room IDs, the rate plans they are connected to in your Booking.com account should be shown.
If you have created a new rate plan, use the button '+rate plan' to select it and link the right types to it. You can also set a price factor for each rate plan. This works in the same manner as described here: Edit the price factor of a channel
Check cancellation policies
If you chose to synchronize cancellation policies when you added administration settings earlier, you’ll be able to manage your cancellation policies from your property page.
Use the button 'Synchronize cancellation policies' to show and connect any cancellation policies you already had in your Booking.com account.
If you create a new cancellation policy or edit an existing one, these changes will be reflected in your Booking.com listings.
Making your listings bookable on Booking.com
After going through alle the steps above, use the 'Property check' button. It will tell you whether there is anything preventing you from opening your property on Booking.com to make it bookable. If all requirements are met, use the ellipsis button at the top of the page and click 'Open property'. Once successful, your Booking.com integration is live and reservations can be made.
