Danmarks Statistik: Installation & settings

Danmarks Statistik is a compliance app for businesses located in Denmark. It automates the sharing of certain data with Statistics Denmark in the form of a monthly survey report, ensuring that you are always compliant with regulations.

This survey will contain guest list data, for short stays as well as for seasonal camping stays (longer than 30 days)

How to install the app?

Once logged into your Booking Experts PMS, go to the App Store in the light green menu bar. To do this, click on the market stall icon. Type 'Danmarks Statistik'  in the search bar and click on the appropriate result. You are now on the app's detail page. Click the green '+Install' button to install the app.

In the next screen, you can see exactly what information is read and sent by Danmarks Statistik. At the bottom of this page, you will link your administrations. Check the 'Access' box for each administration for which you want to apply Danmarks Statistik. Then click 'Install' to authorize the app and complete the installation.

Complete the settings

You’ll need to check and complete settings in both the app itself and in your PMS. Once this is complete, the app will be able to automatically send a monthly survey containing the guest list data of the previous month. This survey is sent on the 2nd day of the month.

App settings

Return to the app's detail page, and click on the 'Settings' button in the command bar. Here, you have to enter the following information for each of your administrations:

Tax registration number (CVR number, either 8 or 10 digits)
Journal number
Opening and closing dates of the season
Name, email, and phone number of the person responsible for the report

The phone number cannot contain a country code using a '+'. If you want to include a country code, use '00' instead of the '+'.
This data is part of the identifying header that is sent along with each survey, and therefore mandatory.

PMS settings

The most important data that is required to be shared in these surveys is the country of residence of your guests. In your PMS, you’ll find this data in the guest list of a reservation. To ensure that you send accurate data, check that your PMS settings ask for the country of residence of all guests and that the guest list is always properly filled.

The app sends the reservation data monthly, on the second day of the next month. This means that before the end of the month, you can still manually edit the guest list by clicking the person icon in the reservation.

Go to your administration settings, into the 'Guests' tab. In the 'Guest list' section, you can choose who needs to fill out the guest list. Select 'All guests'. Then, make sure that 'Country' is among the required items to be entered in the guest list.

Checking for errors

Once the Danmarks Statistik integration is in use, you can check whether data is being sent correctly by clicking on the 'Apps' dropdown in the green menubar and selecting 'Danmarks Statistik: surveys'.
This will show you a list where you can easily see if a monthly survey failed to send. A failed survey will have an error message that tells you why it failed to send. You can edit guest lists to fix any information gaps, and then manually resend the survey with the 'Resend' button in the top right after opening the survey.

If a survey failed to send correctly, you will also receive a notification email in your reception messages. This email will also contain an indication of why the survey failed to send.

  • Guest list data is incomplete

  • Incorrect configuration (the information entered at app settings is incomplete)
