Remove an object from active rent

You can make an object unavailable for rent without permanently deleting it. This allows you to temporarily or indefinitely pause rentals. To do this, you must first prevent future reservations and then let the object setup expire.

This method is suitable for longer periods of unavailability or as preparation for fully deleting an object. For short periods of unavailability, you should place a block in the calendar instead.

Prevent new reservations

Block all availability for an object across all channels at once. This ensures that no new reservations can be placed, but the information and photos of the object will not yet be removed from your website or OTAs.

  1. Open the object and edit the object details.

  2. Activate the option 'Blocked for new reservations except when made via the backoffice'. This allows your own employees to still place a reservation on this object if necessary.

  3. Save the settings.

  4. If you wish to proceed with making the object entirely unavailable for rent, check if there are any existing reservations with a future arrival date scheduled.

  5. Move these reservations to another object wherever possible.

Let object setup expire

By ending the current setup of the object, you ensure that the object's information and photos are no longer available online. Additionally, employees will no longer be able to place reservations on the object.

  1. Open the object and view its setup at the top right of the page.

  2. Edit the current setup and change the 'Active until' setting to 'Date'.

  3. Enter the correct end date. Choose today's date if you want to remove the object from active rent immediately, or a future date if there is a final reservation remaining on the object that you are waiting for.

To put the same object back in active rent, create a new setup with the desired start date and deactivate the 'Blocked for new reservations' setting.
