Floor plan management

A floor plan gives a structured room-by-room overview of your types and their amenities. Integration partners (like OTAs) use this structured data to improve search filter accuracy, and give guests clear expectations.

Step 1: Set up Organization defaults

Before building a floor plan, make sure the following items are configured under Organization Settings. Room Types, and Amenities include a Semantic / OTA Classification field. Select the closest standard match for each item you create. Integration partners rely on this link to interpret your data correctly during synchronization.

Floors

Floors are optional, and can be used if you want to organize rooms by level (e.g., Ground Floor, First Floor) for multi-story properties.

  1. Go to Organization Settings > Floors and click + New.

  2. Enter the name (and translations if needed), then click Save.

  3. (Optional) Click Reorder to place ground floors at the bottom and upper floors at the top. This sets the display order in the floor plan.

Tip: You can also add a missing floor directly while building a Type floor plan by clicking + Add a floor.

Room Types

  1. Go to Organization Settings > Room Types and click + New.

  2. Enter a name (e.g., Master Bedroom, Main Bathroom).

  3. Select the matching Semantic Room Type. This is the semantic link used to identify the amenity on external booking channels.

  4. Click Save.

Amenities

  1. Go to Organization Settings > Amenities and click + New.

  2. Enter the Name (use the language selector for translations).

  3. Select an Amenity type from the dropdown. This is the semantic link used to identify the amenity on external booking channels.

  4. Select an Amenity group to categorize it.

  5. Select the input Type:

    • Numerical: Prompts for an exact quantity when assigned to a room (e.g., Double bed: 1 or Bunk bed: 2).

    • Yes/No: Simple present/not present toggle.

    • Multiple choice: Prompts you to pick from custom options when assigned (e.g., Sofa type: 2-Seater vs. 3-Seater).

  6. Click Save.

Step 2: Build the floor plan on a Type

  • Go to Setup > Types and open the type you want to edit.

  • Select the Floor plan tab and click + New.

  • Fill in the room details:

    • Floor: Select a floor from the list (Optional).

    • Room Type: Select the room type (Required).

    • Number / Description: Add a label if you have multiple identical rooms (e.g., Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2).

  • Select the amenities for this room.

  • Click Save room.

  • Repeat for all remaining rooms in the type.
