The BEX App Store offers several app integrations with third parties that manage access control, license plate recognition, and barriers. If you enable the license plate module, you can automate access for your guests.

What is the license plate module?
The BEX license plate module is what enables your guests to enter their license plates as part of their reservation details. This is the source data that an access control integration uses to automate secure access.
A guest can only enter as many license plates as the number of parking spaces available for the type that they booked. See 'Related PMS settings' below on how to add parking spaces to a type.
Enabling the license plate module
The license plate module is active as soon as you tick the 'use license plates' box in de 'Bookings' tab of your administration settings.

To make the license plate module work smoothly, you need to make sure you have added the number of available parking spaces for each type. Edit a type, and enter the number of parking spots in the 'Numbers' section. This number determines how many license plates a guest is able to add to their reservation.
To ask guests to enter their license plates immediately when booking through your website, enable this setting in the Booking portal.

Guests can also enter their license plate numbers via the Customer portal. You can even remind them to do so by way of an email template 'Request to fill in license plate numbers'.

Adding license plates to reservations
To manually add license plate numbers to a guest’s reservation, open the reservation and click the car icon in the Reservation block. This will take you to a page where you can see and edit the license plate numbers associated with this reservation.
In case of a group booking, you may need to double-check that the license plate numbers are placed on the correct reservation.
