Getting started with BEX App integrations
For many apps, the installation process is similar and straightforward. Especially if the details of the connection are handled by a channel manager like Qenner, or by the partner company that you want to integrate with your PMS.
How to get to the App Store
You can always view the publicly available BEX App Store website that lists all available integrations. To manage and access app integrations specific to your organization, your BEX PMS user account needs organization manager rights or IT rights.
Log in to BEX PMS.
In the organizational view, your custom App Store and integration management environment is available in the Apps module. You can find it among the other modules in the dark green navigation bar.
In the administration view, click the market stall icon in the light green menu bar. This will take you to the Apps module in the organizational view.
'Installed apps' lists all apps that are already installed for your organization. Click the name to start managing the integration.
'Available apps' lists all apps available in this App Store. Click an app name to view a detailed description.
How to install an app
Go to the 'Available apps' index. Use the search bar to find the correct app, or use the category filter to explore which apps are available in a specific category. Select the app that is of interest to you.
Click the 'Install app' button.
The permissions list what this integration needs to be able to read and do to work properly.
Activate the checkbox for each administration within your organization for which you want to apply this integration. Use the search bar if necessary.
Click 'Save installation'.
You will be redirected to the partner login page to connect your partner account, or you can start setting up the installed app using the available commands.
Click the button with the three dots and select 'View documentation' to find more helpful information specific to the app.
Information needed to set up integrations
After installing an app, you will need to finish the integration by connecting your partner account and/or determining settings to use. The information needed to do this varies, but keep the following in mind:
What do the apps cost?
Most of the apps in the BEX App Store facilitate a connection between BEX PMS and an external service provider. The integration apps themselves are free, but you do pay for the services that you integrate with your PMS.
This means that if you have a contract with an access control partner such as HControl or CAT, the integration app is part of that. For distribution apps that run via Qenner, you discuss the costs with Qenner. For other distribution partners such as Airbnb or Booking.com, you pay a percentage of your income via that platform as commission. It is also possible that you need to take out a subscription, for example for BEX analytics, WAIT, or GreatStay.
If you need more information, look for an app-specific article in the Integrations section of the Help Center, or contact the channel manager or partner company that manages the integration.
