Preventing closed financial records from being reopened
For each administration separately, financial records can be locked and closed for accounting purposes. In your organization settings, you can prevent them from being reopened across your administrations.

Go to the 'Other' menu in your organization settings. At the bottom of this page, under 'lock accounting', you can enter a date that acts as a second lock on top of the administration-level lock.
If desired, you can also enter a reason for locking. This message will be shown to an administration manager who tries to reopen their records at the administration level beyond the locked date set at this organization level.
Example:
At the organization level, the accounting lock is set at 01-01-2025.
Administration A has not closed any financial period yet. The financial records can be modified without restriction.
Administration B has closed their financial period at 01-01-2025. The financial records can no longer be reopened due to the organization lock.
Administration C has closed their financial period at 01-06-2025. The financial records can be reopened as far back as the organization lock allows.
