Copying a reservation to create a new one

Copying a reservation is a quick way to create a new reservation with much of the same details. The booker details, the object, and even any booked extras, guest list information or license plate information can be copied. This is especially useful for regular returning guests, or for long-term reservations that have been split up for invoicing purposes.

  1. Find and open the relevant reservation. It does not matter that this reservation is in the past, already checked out.

  2. Click the ellipsis button in the Reservation block, and select 'Copy'.

  3. Enter the correct new arrival and departure dates, and change the object if needed.

  4. Choose to copy the order if the guest ordered certain extras or upgrades before and wants them again.

  5. Choose to copy the guest list if the guest group is (mostly) the same as before.

  6. Choose to copy the license plate if the guest is arriving with the same car as before.

  7. Click the green 'Copy' button to confirm. You’ll now have made a new reservation with copied details.

  8. Edit any details that still need to be changed, and then send a confirmation message and invoice to the guest as usual.

Advantages of creating multiple reservations for long-term rental

  • Splitting up long-term rental in, for example, monthly reservations, allows you to invoice the guest in installments. This includes rent, but also any settlements of water and energy use through meter readings. Read more: Meter readings module

  • If the object of the long-term rental is the property of one of your owners, having multiple reservations instead of one very long one also makes it easy to manage settlement payments to this owner.
