In the setup process for the Booking.com integration, you'll need to choose which types of content you want to automatically push from your PMS to Booking.com. Here, you'll find more information about what each choice entails.
Default content synchronization
It is possible to not opt for content synchronization at all. That means that you will have to manage everything except for your availability and prices from your Booking.com Extranet account.
If you do want to synchronize content, the default includes:
Room details
These are your connected type settings, including occupancy limits, number of beds and bathrooms, etc.
Facilities
The facilities that are specific to the connected types.
Contact information
Your administration’s contact and invoicing details.
Optional content synchronization
In addition to the default, you can choose to synchronize property details, photos, cancellation policies, and costs & taxes between your PMS settings and your Booking.com listing. If you choose not to synchronize, these same functionalities are only accessible through your Booking.com account.
Property details
This will synchronize your general administration information. Includes your business name, standard check-in and check-out times, and your location as presented on a map.
Photos
This will synchronize the media added to your types to the corresponding Booking.com listings.
Cancellation policies
Enabling this during setup will add a management block in your property page, where you can see, edit, and synchronize cancellation policies between your PMS and Booking.com.
Costs & taxes
If you chose to work with all-in prices, synchronizing costs & taxes only ensures that the included cost items are shown to the guest, it doesn’t affect the total price.
If you chose to send base prices, it is recommended to synchronize costs & taxes as well. This will ensure that your mandatory costs are included in the price.
Sending base prices and synchronizing costs & taxes with Booking.com may result in an error, if the cost item settings are not properly recognized by Booking.com. If you encounter any issues, contact support@bookingexperts.com and we’ll help you out.
