Import ledger accounts

When you're already using a ledger account system in your accounting software, you can use an import to copy them into BEX PMS. This import is performed from the ledger account overview in PMS.

Go to the 'Ledger accounts' page, which is located in the Financial module, in the Settings section.

  1. At the bottom of the page, click the 'Import' button.

  2. In the pop-up, you’ll find instructions in two steps. First, download the example file in UTF-8 format, using either the European or UK/US data entry style.

  3. This example file shows you exactly which data (column headers) can be imported, and how that data should be represented in the rows to be read properly.

  4. Either copy your ledger account data into this file, or edit your own UTF-8 format export file from your accounting software to match the import requirements.

  5. Upload your finished file after again clicking the 'import' button at the bottom of the ledger account page.

    The 'Ignore unknown columns' setting should be used if your file contains columns that you know cannot be recognized and imported into BEX PMS because they do not match the import requirements.

The ledger accounts index page will now show your imported ledger accounts.
