Adding Floors or Room types for floor plans
Each of your object types can have a floor plan. In this floor plan, floors and room types can be selected from a dropdown for each room. In the organization settings, you can manage which choices are available in these dropdown lists.
Go to the Organization settings by clicking the gear icon, and scroll down to the menu items 'Floors' and 'Room types'. These are the floors and room types that can be added to a floor plan.
Floors
For all of your object types that have multiple floors, you can define those floors here.
Click 'New' to add a new floor.
Enter the name, and use the flag icon to add translations if needed.
Click 'Save'.
Reorder your floors if needed.
Reordering floors
After creating multiple floors, use the 'Reorder' button to define the order in which they are shown. This affects the order in the floor plan overview of the type; so it is recommended to put the lowest floor at the bottom and the highest floor at the top.
Room types
This is where you create as many room types as are relevant in your organization, and link them to a semantic room type.
Click 'New' to add a new room type.
Enter the name, and use the flag icon to add translations if needed.
Select the semantic room type that most closely resembles your room type.
Click 'Save'.
Selecting the correct semantic room type is important, because this classification is used by integration partners to recognize and correctly apply data during synchronization.
About creating a floor plan
When creating a floor plan, selecting a floor is optional since not all objects types will have multiple floors.
Additional floors and room types can also be created on the spot when adding rooms to a floor plan, by clicking either 'Add a floor' or 'Add a room type' underneath the corresponding input fields.
