How are special periods used?

Special periods are used in statistics, price lists, and the Search & Book. Examples of special periods are the often-booked getaways around public holidays, local events or school holidays.

Special periods are the dates that are popular for a holiday or weekend getaway, surrounding public holidays, local events, or school holidays. For example, if there is a festival near you in the last weekend of October, you might create a special period for this to aid in price adjustment and easy booking on your website.

Special periods in statistics

You can compare periods with each other in the statistics module. You can create special periods for this, such as Easter. This way you can see how Easter this year compared to previous years. This allows you to accurately compare, despite the fact that the actual dates of Easter vary between years.

Special periods in price lists

When you have set special periods, you will see them in the price list when you hover your mouse over the calendar. This quick insight into school holidays, public holidays and events in your area allows you to easily adjust your prices accordingly.

Special periods in the Search & Book

These special periods can also be displayed in the Search and Book on your website, to help potential guests book particular dates. Go to the Search & Book settings in BEX CMS to set this up.
