You can now return to the CAT-Lock app page to complete the settings.

Complete the settings

To further set up the CAT-Lock app integration, you need to connect to CAT-Lock using your customer code, create card types, and match your digital doorlocks to locations in your BEX administration.

Connect CAT-Lock

Select the 'Configurations' button in the Commands dropdown.

  • Select the BEX administration to link, and enter the corresponding customer code that you have received from CAT.

  • Choose whether you want to enable remote access for your guests, and whether you want to add a guest verification email for this.

  • Also set a number of hours before check-in time to determine when your guests automatically receive their access code by email.

  • Do this for every administration that you want to connect.

Create card types

Select the 'Card types' button in the Commands bar. Here, you use the '+Card type' button to add the card types you want. Set a descriptive name, and select the appropriate CAT-Lock card type from the dropdown.

Matching objects to locks

Select the 'Administration mappings' button in the Commands bar. Each administration you added is listed here. Click the administration ID to open it. You’ll see a list of your objects, which you can match to the right CAT-Lock door number (lock) using the dropdowns.

Further down the page is a section where you can add 'Common doors'. These are the door locks for communal areas and entrances. Choose a name, the CAT-Lock door number, and the cost item a guest needs to have booked to gain access to this area.

Matching objects to locks and adding access to shared areas based on booked cost items is optional. The integration will still work if you skip this step.

Edit or delete cards

Select the 'Cards' button in the Commands bar. You’ll see a list of all the automatically created cards here, including their validity, status, and the name of the guest holding the card. CAT-Lock cards cannot be created manually.

Click a card ID to open an individual card. From this page, you can choose to block access, or delete the card entirely. Select 'Send to guest' to re-send the card information to the guest. Clicking the 'Edit' button allows you to change the card’s validity, which locks it is valid for, and the contact information for the card holder (guest).

Sending cards to guests

Sending a card to guests is done automatically following the configuration settings, or manually for an individual card.

  • Guests receive an email with a link, and a separate email with an access code if the verification email is enabled.

  • On the linked page, they need to enter the access code. if the code is accepted and the associated card is valid, the guest will be redirected to a lock page.

  • If verification is not set up in the configuration, no code needs to be entered and the guest will be redirected immediately.

  • From this lock page, the guest can remotely open and close the locks associated with the card/booking.
