Cynox: Camp-Card daily actions

Read how to perform daily actions like creating, editing, writing, or reading a Cynox Camp-Card.

Creating an extra Camp-Card

There are several ways to create an additional card, depending on who it is for.

  • Additional card for current guests: Go to the relevant reservation, click the 'Apps' dropdown in the reservation block, and select 'Cynox: Camp-Cards'. Here you’ll see the existing cards for this reservation, and you can also add a new card. The relevant information for this reservation will be pre-filled when setting the parameters for this new card.

  • Additional / new card for an owner: Go to the relevant owner page, click the 'Apps' dropdown next to the 'Edit' button, and select 'Cynox: Camp-Cards'. Here you’ll see any existing cards for this owner, and you can also add a new card. The relevant information for this owner will be pre-filled when setting the parameters for this new card.

It is not possible to automatically generate cards for owners that are not linked to a reservation.

Editing Camp-Cards

All input fields of an existing Camp-Card are editable.

  • Editing reservation cards: Go to the relevant reservation, click the 'Apps' dropdown in the reservation block, and select 'Cynox: Camp-Cards'. Click the ID for the relevant card, and then 'Edit'.

  • Editing owner cards: Go to the relevant owner page, click the 'Apps' dropdown next to the 'Edit' button, and select 'Cynox: Camp-Cards'. Here you’ll see any existing cards for this owner. Click the ID for the relevant card, and then 'Edit'.

Writing a Camp-Card

  1. Put a physical card on the reader, and access the card as described above.

  2. Select the reader from the dropdown, this will show you the current data on the physical card. Click 'Refresh' if the data doesn’t show.

  3. Click 'Write card'. The parameters of the selected digital card will be written onto the physical card. Don’t move the physical card from the reader during this process.

Reading a Camp-Card

  1. Put the physical card on the reader.

  2. In PMS, go to the 'Apps' dropdown up in the green bar. Select 'Cynox: Camp-Card reader'.

  3. Select the correct reader. The current data on the physical card will be shown. Click 'Refresh' if the data doesn’t show immediately.

Top up credits

  1. Read the camp-card as described above.

  2. In the top right of the page, click the 'Top up' button. Enter the amount of credits that you want to put onto the card.

  3. After saving, the reservation associated with the card will be charged for the credits.

Refund credits

  1. Read the camp-card as described above.

  2. In the top right of the page, click the 'Format' button.

Note that this also clears the card of any other information, so it is advised to only do this just before check-out.

  1. The pop-up asks you to verify the refund.

  2. The amount of credits that was still on the card will be refunded to the associated reservation.
